John was raised in Lutheran and Episcopal Churches in Ohio and Pennsylvania. He graduated from Swarthmore High School outside Philadelphia and Wheaton College near Chicago. He married college classmate Blanche Williams in 1982. They have seven children, three in heaven and four on earth. John earned a Master of Divinity and a Certificate of Advanced Pastoral Leadership ("Jr. Doctorate") from Trinity School for Ministry. He served churches in Kenilworth, Illinois and Falls Church, Virginia before being called as Rector of Prince of Peace Anglican Church in Hopewell Township, PA in 1996. John has a passion for discipleship, church health, and understanding cultural trends. His hobbies include fitness, reading, basketball and bowling.
