Our History

Prince of Peace Church has its roots in All Saints Episcopal Church, Aliquippa.  A group of parishioners from that church came to Hopewell and chose its new name in February 1987.  The following November, they were formally recognized as a parish at the Diocesan Convention.  The church worshipped for almost three years in the fire hall near our present location.  In 1988 the first half of a new building on Cherryton Street was completed with the second half following in 1994.  In 2008, the congregation left the Episcopal Church, choosing to hold fast to biblical Christianity and not be connected to a rapidly apostate and declining denomination.  We joined the Anglican Church in North America (ACNA), a growing group of over 1,000 congregations and church plants. In 2012, the congregation moved to its present location on Route 151 and have done extensive remodeling and renovation of the inside and outside of the property. A columbarium (128 niches) was added in 2013.
