Worship at Prince of Peace draws on the Biblical strengths of the Evangelical, Catholic and Charismatic traditions.  We celebrate the Holy Eucharist from Anglican liturgical heritage at all worship services and careful attention is given to the reading and preaching of the Word of God.

We have three services each weekend, and each one is unique.

6:00 pm Saturday Worship

This is a casual contemporary worship service, with music from our Praise Band, Scripture reading and sermons that are relevant to seekers and those who have not attended church, either for a while or are attending for the first time.  It is also an alternative service for those who are unable to attend on Sunday.

8:00 am Sunday Worship

This is a more traditional service, combining the great hymns of the church with the best of the songs from the recent renewal movement.  We hear a full sermon and receive communion in a more intimate setting, with a procession of vested ministers and a more quiet, reflective setting.

10:30 am Sunday Worship

This service begins with a warm welcome and a declaration of praise.  Vibrant songs of praise accompany the procession as we enter into a time of Singing to God, led by our Worship Praise Band.  The music draws upon both traditional and contemporary hymns and songs of praise  The children leave to attend Sunday School, after which the children return about 11:30 am to join us for Holy Communion. Fourth grade students and above remain in the sanctuary for the whole service.  We then focus on listening to the Scriptures.

The sermon, Creed, prayers, confession and a warm greeting of one another by passing the Peace of God follows.  We offer our gifts of bread and wine as well as monetary offerings – symbols of all that we have been entrusted with by God.  We celebrate Holy Communion and close with another time of praise.  We thank God for feeding us before we are blessed and dismissed to go into the world in the power of the Sprit to proclaim the Gospel.
